JAC Hanami 2018

Although the Cherry Blossom (Sakura) season in Japan falls between March and April, that’s obviously during Autumn for us Australians.

We do, however, have Sakura Trees blossoming in August, so we decided that we would go and see them, as a joint event between UNSW and UTS (JAC).

With bentos from Hotto Motto and beautiful Sakura trees, we hope everyone had a great time.

Gyoza Day

Today members were treated to a helping of gyoza! Accompanied by an assortment of drinks everyone gathered around as they had some dumplings and caught up with friends. It was definitely a hot day but the shade helped combat the heat and who doesn’t love some nice food between classes.

JAC Camp 2018!

Every year, WASABI participates in a 3-day camp held by JAC (WASABI from USyd, JASS from UTS and NSA from UNSW).

During the 3 days, everyone participated in icebreakers, games, a bonfire,  a dance contest (Makkudonarudo) and a horror night, earning points for their teams. Congrats to team Nyanprim for coming first!

We hope everyone had lots of fun, made new friends and embarrassed themselves a few times.

Thanks to everyone who came, and we hope to see you all again next year!

Dinner + Karaoke

Eating and karaoke are pastimes of many of our execs and members, so what fun it is when you put them together on the same night!

If you plan to go karaoke-ing again, remember that Echo Point has been kind enough to offer discounts to WASABI members – check out our “Sponsors” tab for more info.
